Area N5 International Speech and Table Topics Contest 2010

Area N4 & N5 Joint Area Level International Speech and Table Topics Contest was conducted on 28th March 2010 at Politeknik Tengku Sultanah Bahiah, Kulim.

Our representative for both International Spech and Table Topics was none other than, Palaniappa, one of Silterra Toasmasters Club's senior and very talented member.

Pala's speech title was : It Is Not Easy.

He spoke about how most people get influenced with "get rick quick scheme" because they think that it is that easy to earn money. He went on to explain why pain is needed in life and why things are not easy!

His main points were :

Pain makes us appreciate life...

Pain helps us to realize and to achieve our goal...

Pain is a driving force that makes us stronger...

Needless to say, Pala emerged as the champion for AreaN4 International Speech Contest with his strong points and natural flair on speech delivery!

Next up was the Table Topics contest. Contestants were given a relatively tough topic to talk about : Which is more important, career or family and why?

For Pala, his family was more important than anything in this world. His strongest point was when he said that career is changeable but family is not. Bravo Pala.

Again, Pala emerged as the champion for Table Topics contest (Pala is the reigning champion for Table Topics Contest for District 51).
