STMC went back to nature!

On 21st June 2008 a troop of STMC members take a boat ride to play along with monkey! Wait wait........ Monkey?? Actually it is the Monkey Beach in Penang Island. This is one of the outdoor activity STMC members voted for the year 2008.

Yusri : Dude. Save some for me..
Pala : Dude.... First come first self serving!

Surprisingly, there is a national park on the island of Penang. Penang National Park is the smallest national park in Malaysia. It was declared in 2003. It is located at the north west corner of Penang island. The entrance of the park is located at Teluk Bahang, a quiet fishing village. There are at least 2 trails that visitors can hike. One is leading to Pantai Kerachut where there is a meromictic lake (lake contains both fresh and sea water). This trail will take approx. 1hour to 1hour 30min. one way). Another trail leading from the park entrance to Teluk Duyung (Monkey Beach) and Muka Head (Light House). This trail will take approximately 2 hour one way.

Alternatively, you can hire a boat to go to all the beaches to save time and energy. This is what STMC members does! (Pity Lisa's kids, if we were to jungle trekking for 2 hours! Pity Yusry and Pala also.. ) From park entrance to Teluk Duyung costs RM80 per boat, to Pantai Kerachut costs RM120 per boat. There are boats near the jetty at park office waiting to be hired. Visitors have to register at the park office before starting your journey.

Yay.... We are finally here!!

Yusri : Im full already.. Or am I?
Mike : Pose first... Later we eat summore!

Oh. Where is mum?
